Legal Personality of the Year 2019 - VOTE NOW!

January 21, 2019 Nic Mainwood

We all delighted that our director, Harriet Wistrich, has been shortlisted for the Legal Personality of the Year Award. Harriet had a truly astounding 2018 at both Birnberg Peirce and Centre for Women’s Justice, in particular the successful judicial review challenge of the Parole Board decision to release serial rapist John Worboys.

Harriet is shortlisted alongside another fantastic feminist lawyer, Louise Whitfield from DPG. Louise has been a great support to CWJ, volunteering her time and expertise on our legal reference panel.

This award honours an individual (not necessarily with a background or qualification in the law) who has made an outstanding contribution in the legal sphere in the past year.

A shortlist of five candidates has been drawn up by the New Law Journal editorial team using a combination of nominations submitted by the journal's readership and their own assessment of the key events that have featured in their news coverage over the past 12 months.

Voting is open until 5pm Monday 18th February - https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/legalpersonality
