Stacey Hyde

We were saddened to hear of the death of Stacey Hyde last week and we offer our condolences to her friends and family at this difficult time.

Our Director, Harriet Wistrich, and our colleagues at Justice for Women supported Stacey during her appeal and subsequent retrial in 2015, after she killed her friend’s violent partner in self-defence at the age of 17.

She joined us at our Bristol launch event in 2017, where she spoke out about her experience of being imprisoned and failed by the justice system.

More details about Stacey’s case can be found here
